Our History
For decades, ethnic minority group within our community suffer from a severe lack of affordable primary health care. Even if patients are willing to seek treatment, additional barriers include the lack of treatment options that are delivered in a culturally appropriate manner and in the languages needed. This population also includes the refugee and undocumented residents who have an additional layer of barriers that include a mistrust and fear of legal repercussions for seeking treatment. This combined with the prolonged generational trauma, oppression, and discrimination make them even less likely to seek treatment.
2020
Established in January of 2020, Precision Health Center has operated as a primary health care center for the residents of central Los Angeles County whose mission is to empower and enrich families, individuals, and the community by providing quality care for all patients regardless of their financial abilities.
Immediately after services began, we realized the overwhelming need of the low-income, uninsured, and under insured minority residents who continuously experience significant barriers to accessing quality primary health care services that are affordable and accessible.
2021
As a response, we pivoted and started our journey to become a FQHC Look alike. We began our application process in January 2021.
2022
In October of 2022 we got our Designation as an FQHC and have been serving our Community ever since.
